He is the founder as well as the current C E O of DAMAC Group, which is a residential real estate developer. MR. Hussain founded the company in 2002 after the Dubai government passed a law that allowed foreigners to own property in the emirate. Hussain Sajwani’s family was not wealthy at the beginning but his father used to handle real estate business, and that is where he learned the trade. Hussain graduated from the University of Washington and started his career as a Contracts Manager at GASCO. GASCO is a subsidiary firm of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
After a short period, he started his own business and thereafter ventured into catering in 1982. From a small company, the catering division has grown over the years and is a market leader with over 200 projects under. The division offers services like the construction of campsites, camp management, and accommodation on and off shore.
